Fatality Shuts Down 22 Freeway Tuesday Morning: CHP
At least one person was killed on the freeway when a white SUV overturned and slammed into a guardrail Tuesday morning.
WESTMINSTER, CA — One person was killed in Westminster when a white SUV overturned and slammed a guardrail on the California State route 22 Freeway, authorities said Tuesday.
California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday to the freeway, near Goldenwest Street, regarding a crash.
Officers found the SUV on its roof with smoke coming from its engine, according to the CHP.

The victim, whose name, age and gender were not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorist was the lone occupant inside of the vehicle.
The crash closed two lanes of the 22 while the CHP investigated the cause of the crash.
