- The first case of monkeypox in a youth under 18 years of age was confirmed on Tuesday. The Orange County Health Care Agency (HCA) said it was the first case of human monkeypox (hMPX) in a young person under 18. They are investigating to find out everyone the youth came in contact with to help stop the spread of the infection. Everyone who may have been exposed is to the young person is being offered a vaccine to help stop the spread of the disease. Thank you, OCHCA, for working to keep us all healthy! - The "hilarious and touching" play that inspired the hit Netflix television sitcom will be at The Laguna Playhouse from Sept. 21 - Oct. 9. You won't want to miss the Orange County Premiere of "Kim's Convenience" by Ins Choi. (Broadway World)
- The County is demanding an immediate investigation of O.C.’s New Green Power Agency, "under the threat of withdrawing." Orange County Supervisors are demanding an independent investigation of the county’s new green power agency that has been embroiled in controversy." Supervisors said they are ready to withdraw county from the Orange County Power Authority if it doesn’t agree to the review. Supervisors Katrina Foley, Lisa Bartlett and Doug Chaffee, said "it was wrong" for the Orange County Power Authority to automatically switch residents to a 7 percent more expensive electrical plan, when it was billed as “community choice energy.” "The real issue here is that there is some trust broken," Foley said.
