  3. An Orange County Cancer survivor said that the game of golf saved his life. The Orange County man battling cancer credits the game he loves, and a doctor he golfs with, for saving his life. Kirk Rose, who rarely misses a shot and has been playing golf his whole life, changed roles from golf buddies to patient and doctor with oncologist Dr. Minch Fong, after a cancer diagnosis. "I felt fine, I felt great and then we got that diagnosis and it was devastating," Rose said. Through treatments since 2018, Rose continues to play and credits golf, and his long-time golf buddy, for saving his life. (NBC Southern California)
