- Knott's Berry Farm announced this week that it has expanded its chaperone policy to include Sundays. The theme park made the decision to revise the policy after a series of fights between teenagers erupted at the park. Park officials say the new policy will be in effect until further notice. (Patch)
- A caravan of fast food workers traveled through Orange County on Wednesday in support of Assembly Bill 257. The bill would create a state-run council to negotiate for over 700,000 fast-food employees across the state, aiming to protect them from sexual harassment, wage theft, safety violations, and violence in the workplace. It is set to be heard on Aug. 11 in the Senate Appropriations Committee and will then head to a full Senate vote later in the month. (OCRegister)
- The Orange County Improv Fest returns this weekend after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The annual festival dedicated to celebrating unscripted comedy will host improv teams from cities all over the region, including San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles. Shows will take place at the Frida Cinema in downtown Santa Ana, Jul. 29-30, beginning at 7:00 p.m. (Orange Coast Magazine)
