Man, 19, Arrested In Connection With Shooting That Left OC Man Dead

ANAHEIM, CA — A 19-year-old man was arrested this week on suspicion of fatally shooting a man in Anaheim.

Lawrence Romero of Orange was arrested Tuesday and booked on suspicion of killing 32-year-old Anthony Aceves Espino of Anaheim, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

Police officers were dispatched at about 6 p.m. Thursday to Ball Road west of Sunkist Avenue to check on the driver of a car who appeared to have passed out, authorities said.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead after he arrived, police said.

A possible motive for the killing was not immediately released.
