Man In Anaheim Struck And Killed By Motorist

A motorist who hit and killed a pedestrian, fled the scene but later returned.

ANAHEIM, CA — A man was struck and killed Saturday morning by a motorist in Anaheim, who had at one point left the scene but eventually returned to the location of the fatality, a police sergeant said.

The initial call at 1:55 a.m. reported a hit-and-run in the area of Beach Boulevard and West Stonybrook Drive, where the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, said Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer.

The driver returned to the scene of the fatality and the crash does not appear to be DUI or drug-related, Carringer said.
