1. Jason Oppenheim will bring "Selling O.C," a spinoff of "Selling Sunset," to Orange County. With the real estate market cooling and mortgage rates rising, Jason Oppenheim said, "an agent’s experience matters more than ever before." The 45-year-old president and co-founder of luxury real estate brokerage firm The Oppenheim Group, has brought a new level of success to his real estate business with the hit Netflix reality series “Selling Sunset.” The new spin-off, “Selling The OC,” premieres on Aug. 24. 2. A boy who was injured by illegal fireworks in Garden Grove Friday night is in serious condition. The 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after an illegal “mortar” style firework unexpectedly detonated in Eastgate Park, according to Sgt. Nick Jensen, public information officer for the GGPD. He reportedly suffered serious injuries to his hands and face, and was treated by Orange County Fire Authority firefighter paramedics and then taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, said Capt. Steve Concialdi, a public information officer for the OCFA. (ORANGE COUNTY TRIBUNE)
3. Do you want to "choose a career with a purpose"? The Orange County Sheriffs Department is looking for an Emergency Radio Coordinator (Communications Coordinator II). In a recent post, OCSD said the Emergency Radio Coordinator is "the central point of contact for mutual aid between all law, fire, public works, and lifeguard agencies, as well as state and federal agencies."
