OC Mom Accused Of Poisoning Husband Was Aware Of Nanny Cams: Report

IRVINE, CA — An Orange County mother, who was accused of poisoning her husband with drain cleaner, says she believes she was set up by her husband, FOX 11 reported.

Yue "Emilin" Yu, 45, of Irvine, told the station that she was aware of nanny cameras around the house, which reportedly showed her pouring Drano into his lemonade.

A screenshot published by FOX 11 shows the woman pouring liquid from a big red container.

"It's her belief that this has been an effort of his long term to set her up somehow, to gain the advantage to get custody of the kids. It's also important to understand that immediately after her arrest, her husband filed divorce documents and custody documents that he had been preparing, obviously, for quite a while," Yu's attorney, David Wohl said.

Yu, a dermatologist, was taken into custody last week after her husband told police she poisoned him, the city of Irvine confirmed in a news release.
