One Of The Country's Best New Restaurants Is At Disneyland

ANAHEIM, CA — One of Yelp’s Best New Restaurants of 2024 is at Disneyland.

The online review website gave Paseo at Downtown Disney in Anaheim the ninth spot.

Carlos Gaytán, the first Mexican-born chef to get a Michelin star, serves up “clever Mexican twists on favorites,” according to Yelp, with offerings such as slow-roasted pork shank with pineapple vinegar and guajillo peppers, duck leg carnitas on waffles, and the signature Maya-Tai cocktail.

To determine the ranking, Yelp considered the volume and ratings of reviews for full-service restaurants that opened after Jan. 1, 2023, and consulted with trend expert Tara Lewis.

Other Southern California eateries that made the list include Kinme Omakase in San Diego with fourth place, Burnin’ Shell in Los Angeles with fifth, and BoujieMana in San Diego with eighth.
