  1. A powwow at a cultural museum was dedicated to the history of the area’s first peoples. The all-day event began at sunrise when members of the Juañeno tribe "blessed the ground" outside the Blas Aguilar Adobe Museum. Members of the community and other Native American nations gathered for a day to share food, customs, music, dancing, and storytelling. It was the first event to be held at the Blas Aguilar Adobe building, which is one of the oldest homes in San Juan Capistrano that dates back to the 1790s. (Orange County Register via Facebook)
