ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A pedestrian was struck by two vehicles and killed Monday on the Interstate 5 Freeway in Anaheim.

The crash was reported at 2:03 a.m. on the southbound Santa Ana Freeway, just north of Lincoln Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A witness said that a white truck hit the pedestrian in middle lanes, according to the CHP.

The CHP later learned that a black Honda Cvici also hit the pedestrian.

A SigAlert was issued at 2:18 a.m. shutting down the southbound Santa Ana Freeway and the Euclid Street on-ramp. The far right lane was reopened at 3:11 a.m. and other traffic was diverted off at Euclid Street.

All lanes were reopened about 7 a.m., but traffic was backed up to Valley View Avenue, according to the CHP.
