Here are the top stories today in Orange County:

  1. Governor Newsom praised a collaborative effort to solve the homeless problem. NBC 4's Vicky Vargas reported Thursday that the governor said, "The public is fed up with homeless camps," calling the North Orange County Public Safety Collaborative a "novel" program that combines "police, mental health and social service workers." The governor noted that the collaborative approach is making a difference in Orange County, and the program "should be duplicated across the state." (NBC Southern California)

  4. Hear spooky stories and legends on the Historic Yorba Cemetery tour, offered by O.C. Parks. One legend shared in a recent social media post is about a woman in pink who appears in the cemetery "sometime after midnight" every other year, on the same summer night, "to visit deceased family members."
