Tiana's Palace Brings Bayou Flavored Menu To The Disneyland Resort
No need to "Dig A Little Deeper" unless you're digging in at Disneyland's Tiana's Palace restaurant, the stuff of Princess Tiana's dreams.

ANAHEIM, CA — When it comes to home cooking and delicious menu offerings at Disneyland Resort, guests will get their fill at Tiana's Palace. The new restaurant opened to the public Thursday, Sept. 7, in place of the former French Quarter in New Orleans Square, directly across from the Haunted Mansion inside Disneyland.
When you go, expect healthy portions of food with Cajun flavors, many of sharable size, for reasonable prices. The patio is spacious, with ample room for diners at lunch and dinnertime.

Named after Princess Tiana's fondest dream from the animated film "The Princess and the Frog," the restaurant's decor offers subtle touches from the feature, from framed family recipe cards to lily pad lighting, all with bayou flare. Imagineers have indeed created the restaurant of Tiana's dreams.

"At the restaurant, friends, and family are surrounded by fixtures and references to Princess Tiana's life as they sit beneath yellow and gold awnings accented by bistro lighting, reminiscent of the film's version of the restaurant," a park spokesperson said of the redesign. The facade is straight from a storyboard, with balconies upstairs. One imagines Tiana may soon appear to greet guests below.
While Tiana's Palace is not a character dining location, guests may still find Tiana walking through New Orleans Square at various times of the day, according to a resort spokesperson.

The new menu includes both items Tiana would claim her favorites: New Orleans-inspired dishes and seasonal flavors. Consider ordering "dessert first" with the house-filled Beignet. This is not your bag full of lightly fried airy treats, but a pastry stuffed with a lemony ice box pie filling and topped with a lemony powdered sugar glaze in a sharable size, available at $4.49. The other menu offerings range from $14.99 for sandwiches and gumbo, $17.99 for Gulf Shrimp and Grits, to just under $20 for the Cajun Spiced Half Chicken. A varied kids menu offers toasted ham and cheese, a chicken drumstick, or baked macaroni and cheese, all for under $10 a plate. To top it off, consider Joffrey's Coffee, a chicory cold brew with a creamy coffee taste, available at $5.99.
According to the Disneyland chefs, the various regional dishes use select ingredients sourced from Louisiana whenever possible.
The Mint Julep Bar, alongside Tiana's Palace, has also reopened, and with it, their famous mint juleps and hot Mickey beignets dusted with powdered sugar.
When you go, expect the lines to be long and consider mobile ordering.

Both locations offer mobile orders so guests can order their favorites using the Disneyland app.*

Nearby, the ride associated with the "Princess and the Frog" film, formerly Splash Mountain, remains under construction. More on that soon!
