Toddler Fatally Struck By Amazon Van In OC
A 23-month-old girl was found dead in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Tuesday afternoon after she was hit by a delivery van.
IRVINE, CA — A 23-month-old girl died in Orange County after she was stuck by an Amazon van, authorities said Tuesday night.
Police were investigating the collision, which was reported just after 3:30 p.m. near the 300 block of Estancia in Irvine, the Irvine Police Department said.
"Preliminarily, it appears a collision occurred in the parking lot between an Amazon van and the child," police wrote in a statement.

The van is operated by a third party contractor, authorities said. First responders arrived quickly but she had already died, police said.
The collision remains under investigation but police said "drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor."
