Here are the top stories today in Orange County:
- Two morning earthquakes rattled homes and rumbled through parts of Riverside County. Shaking was reported Monday morning from a magnitude 3.1 earthquake just after 9 a.m. near Banning, which is about 85 miles east of Los Angeles in the San Gorgonio Pass, just hours after a 3.1 magnitude earthquake hit parts of Orange County. - A young South Orange County actress is piling up acting awards for her work in television and films. Thirteen-year-old Kayden Tokarski won the Best Child/Young Actress award from the Indie Short Fest Los Angeles International Film Festival on Sept. 29. While on the set of Dhar Mann Studios in Burbank, Kayden told Patch, “I am so grateful for the recognition of my work … it’s an incredible honor and something I will never forget." - Kids in Orange County can claim a free In-N-Out burger in October and November. How? Kids who read five books between Oct. 1 and Nov. 12 will get a free hamburger or cheeseburger at In-N-Out in Orange County. Kids between the ages of 4 and 12 can participate in the In-N-Out Cover to Cover Club. The organizers said, "If a child is unable to read to themselves, their parents or guardians may read five books to them." (Orange County Patch)
