MOSS BEACH, CA — Coastside deputies patrolling Moss Beach confiscated illegal guns during a routine traffic stop Tuesday, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials said the deputies saw a driver commit multiple infractions before they pulled him over around 7 p.m. As the investigation continued, the sheriff's office said the deputies discovered the passenger was carrying a loaded gun with extra ammunition and an unloaded "ghost gun."

The deputies arrested the Pacifica man and booked him into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of three gun-related crimes, including two felonies. Investigators said the driver had a suspended license and was cited at the scene.
