Man Dies At SMC Beach After Pulled From Water: Cal Fire
A husband and wife were fishing on the rocks, but she went to get something from the car and when she came back he was gone, Cal Fire said.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A man in his 30s died at a beach in San Mateo County on Wednesday afternoon, according to California State Parks officials.
Just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Cal Fire reported they sent firefighters to Bean Hollow Beach near Pescadero after receiving call about a person in the water.
A woman said she and her husband were wearing waders and fishing on the rocks, according to Cal Fire. She went to their car for something and when she came back, her husband was gone.

A witness saw a body in the water and firefighters pulled the man out of the water and attempted life-saving measures but he was pronounced dead at the scene, firefighters said.
The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation into the man, who was in his 30s, according to California State Parks.
