Now What Do We Do With Our Christmas Tree?
When you're ready to recycle your tree, Recology of the Coast has some important changes to their schedule during the holidays.

Now that Christmas Day is behind us, it's time to think about disposing of your tree. Recology of the Coast gives you more than a month to recycle your tree so there's no rush to end the Christmas spirit any time soon.
When you're ready, Christmas trees will be collected at the curb/street on your regular green waste collection day from Dec. 26- Jan. 31 and should be cut to 4 feet of less in length. Your green waste container(s) are collected every other week on your regular garbage day.
Those trees not picked up during the month should be cut up and put into your green waste container. Remember to remove all ornaments, tinsel, lights and stands. Flocked trees are OK.
If your service day falls on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, then your garbage, recycle and green waste will be collected on the following Saturdays: Dec. 28 and Jan. 4.
You will be allowed one extra bag of garbage on these Saturdays at no charge.
