Shots Fired During Failed Car Theft In Pacifica: Police

Police are searching for multiple suspects accused of attempting to steal a car, then firing several shots as they sped from the scene.

PACIFICA, CA — Authorities in Pacifica are searching for two vehicles and multiple suspects after they fired multiple gunshots while fleeing the scene of a failed car theft, according to police.

Officers arrived on the 300 block shortly after 3:40 a.m. Tuesday after a victim reported multiple people attempting to steal their car. The resident told police they confronted the suspects, who quickly sped away from the scene while firing several rounds. Police said no one was struck by the gunfire.

The victim described one vehicle as a white or silver 4-door Infinity sedan, and the other as an unknown silver vehicle. According to police, officers from Daly City, San Bruno and South San Francisco helped search the area for the vehicles, but the investigation is ongoing.
