Pali Police Blotter: Bank Robber Arrested and Threat at Paul Revere Middle School

The following information was supplied by the West L.A. Division of the Los Angeles Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Note: The report covers a two week period.

'Beach Cruiser Bandit' arrested
Danny Gaudio, 55, of Harrisburg, PA was arrested April 18 in Culver City on suspicion of several bank robberies on the Westside, including a robbery at the Pacific Western Bank at 15310 Sunset Blvd. on April 17 in Pacific Palisades, according to Los Angeles police.

Gaudio allegedly entered the bank and pointed a handgun at tellers, took approximately $2,000 and fled on a bike.

Gun threat a Paul Revere School

At 3 p.m. April 18 in the 1400 block of Allenford Avenue (Paul Revere Charter Middle School), a student, who's been identified, threatened to bring a gun to school and "shoot everyone."

DUI

A 44-year-old man was arrested at 8:45 p.m. April 18 in the at the coastline and Pacific Coast Highway. He was charged with DUI after being involved with a traffic collision.

Warrant arrest

A 51-year-old man was arrested at 8:45 a.m. April 9 at the 16800 block of Edgar Street. He was arrested on a warrant for grand theft.

Stolen motorcycle

Between 2 p.m. April 11 and 3 a.m. April 12, a suspect removed a motorcycle from a home's front walkway.

Stolen copper pipes

Between 2:30 p.m. April 8 and 1:20 p.m. April 9 in the 1400 block of Allenford Avenue, a suspect took copper pipes from a construction site on school campus.

Vehicle burglaries

  • Between 3 p.m. April 7 and 8 p.m. April in the 300 block of Mesa Road, a suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and took a camera.
  • Between 9 p.m. April 12 and 9:50 a.m. April 13 in the 1300 block of Allenford Avenue, a suspect entered a vehicle and took money, sunglasses and a remote control.
  • Between 8 and 8:15 a.m. April 11 at the Ocean Avenue and Entrada Drive intersection, a suspect smashed a window to a vehicle and took a wallet, purse, iPad and money.

Stolen purse

At 2 p.m. Feb. 23 in the 800 block of Swarthmore Avenue, a purse was taken off the counter of a business.

Orange spray paint vandal; racial slur and swastika written on business wall

  • Between 10:30 p.m. April 8 and 2:30 p.m. April 9 in the 400 block of Sycamore Street, a suspect spray-painted the hood of a vehicle in orange paint.
  • Between 6 p.m. April 9 and 1 a.m. April 10 in the 400 block of Rustic Road, a suspect spray-painted the door of a vehicle in orange paint.
  • Between 4 p.m. April 9 and 9:30 a.m. April 10 in the 1000 block of Swarthmore Avenue, a suspect spray-painted a swastika and racial slur on the wall of a business.
  • Between 8:15 and 9:10 a.m. April 12 in the 1200 block of Chautauqua Boulevard, a suspect damaged a mailbox.
  • At 5:20 p.m. April 3 at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Sunset Boulevard, a suspect driving a motorcycle used his hand to hit the mirror of a vehicle, causing damage.
