Pali Police Blotter: Parking Overreaction, Dine and Dash and 6 Burglaries

The following information was supplied by the West L.A. Division of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Suspect threatens life over parking

At 4:35 p.m., March 24 in the 800 block of Swarthmore Avenue, a suspect, who has been identified, threatened to kill someone over improper parking, according to Los Angeles police.

At 1:05 p.m., March 21 in the 500 block of Palisades Drive, a man ordered a meal at a local business, ate it and left without paying. Police identified the suspect as a white man with brown hair, 5'10'' and 180 pounds and approximately 40 years old with a goatee.

  • Between 1:30 a.m., March 15 and 7 a.m., March 18 in 200 block of Temescal Canyon Road, a suspect cut the locks on a cargo container and took tools.
  • Between 6:30 p.m., March 19 and 11 a.m., March 20 in the 500 block of Amalfi Drive, a suspect removed a board covering a window to enter a home and took power tools.
  • Between 8 a.m., Feb. 21 and 4 p.m., Feb. 28 in the 1100 block of Iliff Street, a suspect attempted to pry open windows to a home but was not able to enter.
  • Between 7:30 and 11 p.m., March 22 on Bali Lane, a suspect removed a screen to enter a home through an open window and took laptop computers and an iPad.
  • Between 5 p.m., March 22 and 8 p.m., March 24 in the 600 block of Las Casas Avenue, a suspect smashed a door to enter a home, which was being fumigated, and took binoculars and a video recorder.

Vehicle burglary

Between 10:30 and 11:15 a.m., March 25 in the 800 block of Alma Real Drive, a suspect smashed a window to a vehicle and took a purse, wallet and money.

Theft

  • Between 9 a.m., March 8 and 9 a.m., March 20 in the 300 block of Sycamore Road, a suspect entered a garage while it was open during construction and took shoes, handbags and pants.
  • Between 6:30 and 9:15 p.m., March 15 in the 16600 block of Linda Terrace, a suspect took a delivered package from the front porch of a home.
