Police Arrest Man Trepassing in Alma Real Drive Home

Helicopter and ground units swarm home in Pacific Palisades and catch unstable man who entered a home, and was later discovered to be a veteran.

Los Angeles police and fire officials arrested a man Wednesday night after he entered a home at 707 Alma Real Dr. in Pacific Palisades, who was later discovered to a be a veteran, according to Palisades Patrol.

Pali Patrol received a report of a hot prowl at 6:30 p.m. at the residence when a woman fled the home when finding an unknown man side. Arriving first, Pali Patrol took position to cover the house and tend to the woman, according to CEO Scott Wagenseller.

LAPD arrived quickly with helicopter, who found the man in the backyard. Wagenseller said Pali Patrol then set up a perimeter until ground units arrived.

LAPD officers went through a side gate and caught the man inside.

Wagenseller said police determined the man was arrested, treated for several open wounds and was determined to be mentally unstable, saying he thought he as at a McDonald's in Burbank and wanted coffee.

Wagenseller said the man was brought to the Department of Veteran of Affairs facility in West Los Angeles.
