Temescal Canyon Project Winding Down for the Summer
The project's contractor reports they will rope off the Pacific Palisades site and let the grass grow over the concrete stormwater detention tank in the trench.
The concrete for the stormwater detention tank in Temescal Canyon in Pacific Palisades is covered in dirt and workers are planting grass seeds and plan to rope it off for the summer, according to a local resident monitoring the project.
Work for the $8 million stormwater improvement project continued in March following a tragic death on site involving a worker trapped in a collapsed trench.
Nearby resident Wendy Anderson sent in photos to Patch Tuesday of the latest site developments. Anderson said the site's contractor John Hay reported they will rope off the site and let the grass grow.

Workers expect, if all goes well, to be done in a few months, Anderson said.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power continues working on the street with its electrical project and when that is completed, Hay said they will put in a new sidewalk.
