Would-Be Burglars Arrested As They Prepped For Palisades Robbery: LAPD
Police tracked four young men from the Valley to the Palisades and arrested them as they prepared for a burglary, according to the LAPD.
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Four people were arrested in Pacific Palisades after police tracked them from the Valley and determined they were preparing to rob houses in the Palisades, the Los Angeles Police Department said Wednesday.
Detectives tracked the group — which included two teenagers and two 20-year-olds — from the Valley to the Palisades area at around 1:30 p.m. Feb. 29. They observed the men "preparing to commit a burglary" and apprehended them near Castellammare Drive and Sunset Boulevard before they could do so, the LAPD said in a release.
Police took the three adults into custody without incident, while they were still inside their vehicle. The fourth suspect, a 17-year-old boy, who fled on foot, discarded his cellphone and changed his clothing as officers pursued him. He was eventually apprehended, according to police.
