16-Year-Old Arrested In Connection With Deadly Coachella Shooting

Three teenage suspects were arrested recently in relation to the killing of an 18-year-old man in August.

COACHELLA, CA — A 16-year-old was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a shooting that killed Isaac Gonzalez, 18, in Coachella over the summer, authorities said.

The teenager, whose name was not released due to his age, was taken into custody on Tuesday in Ontario, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced Tuesday. The teen, a resident of Coachella, was booked into juvenile hall on murder, robbery and conspiracy charges.

Investigators arrested the juvenile as an additional suspect as two other Coachella residents around similar age were arrested on Friday — 18-year-old Fabian Diaz and a 17-year-old, whose name was also withheld. They were both booked on suspicion of murder, robbery and conspiracy.
