17 Coachella Valley Smash-And-Grab Burglaries Linked To Indio Man: RSO

INDIO, CA — A man suspected of committing more than a dozen smash-and-grab burglaries across the Coachella Valley was behind bars Wednesday.

Charles Emmanuel Cobb, 41, of Indio was arrested Tuesday evening after deputies served a search at his home on Sentiero Drive.

The arrest followed a weeks-long investigation. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, Cobb committed at least 17 smash-and-grab burglaries in the Coachella Valley between February and March.

It's not clear how sheriff's investigators linked Cobb to the alleged crimes.

Cobb was booked into Banning's Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility on suspicion of 17 counts of second-degree burglary. Jail records show he was being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
