College Of The Desert Board Approves 2026 Officer Roles

In addition to officer roles, the Board approved liaison and special appointments.

The following is a Dec. 19, 2025, news release from the College of the Desert:

PALM DESERT, CA — College of the Desert approved officer roles and committee liaison assignments for the Board of Trustees for the 2026 term during its Board meeting earlier Friday, with the new appointments taking effect immediately.

The Board confirmed the following officer appointments:
—Chair: Ron Oden
—Vice Chair: Rubén AríAztlán Pérez
—Clerk: Mark W. Meyer
—Secretary: President Martinez Garcia (continuing service)

In addition to officer roles, the Board approved the following liaison and special appointments:
—Dr. Joel L. Kinnamon, Auxiliary/College of the Desert Foundation Liaison
—Dr. Joel L. Kinnamon, McCallum Theatre Committee Liaison
—Mary Jane Sanchez-Fulton, County Committee Liaison
—Mark W. Meyer, McCallum Board of Trustees; McCallum Finance and Executive Committee Liaison
—Mary Jane Sanchez-Fulton, Alumni Association Board of Directors Liaison
—Mary Jane Sanchez-Fulton, Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee Liaison
—Carlos A. Maldonado, Parliamentarian (continuing service)
—Juan Falcon, Student Trustee
