2 Desert Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Burglary, Grand Theft Auto

Suspects reportedly stole a vehicle and used the victim's credit cards at various places in Coachella Valley.

PALM DESERT, CA — Two Desert Hot Springs men were arrested on suspicion of burglary and grand theft auto after a victim in Rancho Mirage reported their vehicle stolen last week, authorities said.

At 10:32 a.m. on Feb. 10, Palm Desert sheriff's deputies responded to the 20 block of Buckingham Way in Rancho Mirage after reports of a burglary and vehicle theft, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The victim told deputies that their vehicle had been stolen. The suspects also used the victim's credit cards at various locations across the Coachella Valley, officials said.

During the investigation, deputies identified 34-year-old Richard White as a suspect and arrested him on Feb. 12. On Feb. 18, deputies located a second suspect, 24-year-old Tyshawn Head, and arrested him.

Both were booked for first-degree burglary, grand theft auto and identity theft at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio, authorities said.
