2 Hikers Rescued In Riverside County
A Riverside County Sheriff's Department rescue helicopter hoisted the hikers to safety.
MECCA, CA — Riverside County firefighters worked Saturday to rescue two hikers from a trail in Box Canyon, northeast of Mecca.
The hikers were reported down at 4:42 p.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
A Riverside County Sheriff's Department rescue helicopter hoisted the hikers to safety.

Both complained of minor injuries and were transferred to a ground ambulance to be taken to a hospital for treatment, fire officials said.
