Accused Palm Desert Gym Burglars Arrested
Police say the women raided locker rooms of multiple local gyms by cutting locks & stealing items from lockers— and then from victims' cars.

PALM DESERT, CA — Two of the three suspects in a series of burglaries in women's locker rooms in gyms in Palm Desert were behind bars Friday while the third was released on bail.
Crystal Jant, 36, Victoria Gonzalez, 32, and Randy Stalling, 51, all Banning residents, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, identity theft and possession of illegal controlled substances Thursday morning at separate locations in Banning, Palm Desert police Sgt. Robert Garcia said.
The burglaries began on Jan. 10. The suspects went to the gyms and pretended to be members. They then entered the women's locker room, cut the locks off the lockers and stole property, police said.

After stealing the property from the gym lockers, the suspects then stole property from the victims' cars and used stolen credit cards and checks at local businesses, Garcia said.
The trio are also suspected in similar crimes in Riverside, Temecula and San Bernardino County.

A search warrant was issued for a residence in the 500 block of Fifth Street in Banning, according to the sheriff's department. Jail records indicate that Jant was arrested on Fifth Street in Banning.
Jant and Stalling were booked in the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, and are expected in court on Monday. Gonzalez was released Friday and is expected in court on March 25.
Stalling is also suspected of violating probation, according to jail records.
The investigation was led by the Palm Desert Police Department Business District Team and the Special Enforcement Team, Garcia said.
