Bank Robber Sought Following Palm Desert Heist
The robber was described as a white male adult, between 50 and 60 years old, 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet tall, weighing 150 to 175 pounds.
PALM DESERT, CA — A bank robber was sought Thursday following a heist in Palm Desert.
The robbery was reported at about 2 p.m. Wednesday in the 72000 block of Highway 111.
The suspect entered the bank, approached a bank teller at the counter, and made a demand for money. He did not show a weapon or indicate he was armed, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the bank on foot in an unknown direction, the agency said.
The alleged robber was described as a white male adult, between 50 and 60 years old, 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet tall, weighing 150 to 175 pounds, and wearing a green baseball-style hat, dark-framed prescription glasses, light green T-shirt and denim jeans, according to the sheriff's office.

"The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying and locating the suspect," the agency said.
Anyone with information on the man's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact Investigator Mitroff at the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station: 760-836-1600. Citizens can also submit a tip using the Crime Tips Online Form on the official Riverside County Sheriff’s Office website.
