A big rig hauling vehicles caught fire on eastbound Interstate 10 in Palm Springs Sunday, causing traffic delays.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — A big rig hauling vehicles caught fire on eastbound Interstate 10 in Palm Springs Sunday, causing traffic delays.
The fire was reported just before 10:30 a.m. at North Gene Autry Trail, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said three of the five vehicles being hauled by the truck were burned by the fire.

The number one lane of eastbound I-10 was expected to remain closed for four to six hours while the truck is towed away and a hazmat team clean up debris, the CHP said.
No injuries were reported.
