Child Airlifted To Hospital After Suffering Medical Emergency In Mecca

MECCA, CA — A child was airlifted to a local hospital Monday morning after suffering a medical emergency in Mecca.

The incident was reported at 11:16 a.m. in the 65000 block of Johnson Street, which is near Saul Martinez Elementary School.

It's unclear whether the incident occurred on campus.

"The juvenile was treated by paramedics and transported to an area hospital by helicopter in moderate condition," according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
