Coachella Valley Cemetery To Participate In Dia De Los Muertos Celebration
The Dia de los Muertos event will feature folklorico dance, mariachi performances, arts and crafts, and more. Here's what to know.

CATHEDRAL CITY, CA — Four Forest Lawn Cemeteries locations across Southern California, including Cathedral City, will host Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, events in November.
The free, family-friendly event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on November 2 at 82975 Requa Avenue. Additional Forest Lawn Cemetery locations holding Dia de los Muertos events will include cemeteries in Cypress, Covina Hills and Glendale.
The Dia de los Muertos event will feature folklorico dance, mariachi performances, arts and crafts, food trucks, traditional Catrina sculptures, alebrije (spirit animal) artworks, and community ofrenda (altar) presentations.

"Forest Lawn's lively and colorful Dia de los Muertos events welcome the community to our memorial parks for an authentic Mexican celebration of life," Forest Lawn's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Rodolfo Saenz, said in a statement.
Day of the Dead is celebrated each year Nov. 1-2 to pay respects to deceased loved ones.
