Coachella Valley Fire Causes Down Power Lines

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA -- An early Saturday morning fire in the Coachella Valley caused downed power lines. Fire officials said the incident was reported around 1:22 a.m. in the 66000 block Buena Vista Way in Desert Hot Springs.
The fire erupted at a single-family home that threatened other nearby structures and caused power lines to come down, officials said.
About 20 firefighters were called to the incident that caused an estimated $25,000 in damages, officials said.
