Coachella Valley Firebirds Announce Theme Nights

PALM DESERT, CA — A theme nights schedule was released Tuesday for the Coachella Valley Firebirds upcoming hockey season starting in October.

"Each theme night includes Plaza activations, special in-game programming, group packages, giveaway items and more," Firebirds team officials wrote. "In addition, the Firebirds will wear specialty jerseys on select game nights that will be auctioned off after the game via the DASH app in order to raise funds for local charities."

A home opener against the Bakersfield Condors will get the theme night games underway Oct. 13 and a fan appreciation game against the San Diego Gulls will close them out April 21, 2024, according to team officials. A full list of the theme nights can be found at www.cvfirebirds.com.

Among the 14 theme nights are "Dia De Los Muertos," "Hockey Fights Cancer," "Ugly Sweater and Teddy Bear Toss," "Hometown Heroes Night," "MLK Day and Hockey is for Everyone," "Pride Night," and "Mardi Gras," according to team officials.
