Miley Cyrus Earns The Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award At Palm Springs International Film Festival

Miley Cyrus has been invited to Palm Springs to be presented with the Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award for her song, "Dream as One."

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Miley Cyrus will recieve the Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award for her song, "Dream As One," featured in 20th Century Studios' film "Avatar: Fire and Ash" next month at the Palm Springs International Film Awards, it was announced Friday.

The Grammy Award-winning artist is "a musician who needs no introduction," Festival Chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi said. "Miley Cyrus is a force in everything she does. Her song `Dream as One' from `Avatar: Fire and Ash' is already a triumph, resonating with audiences around the globe."

The song was written by Cyrus, Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt and Simon Franglen. The third installment of James Cameron's film, which released in theatres nationwide Friday, follows the story of Marine turned Na'vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na'vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) and the Sully family in the world of Pandora.

The cast includes Sam Worthington, Zoe, Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Kate Winslet and Cliff Curtis.

Cyrus, 33, is the daughter of country artist Billy Ray Cyrus, and has starred in the television series "Hannah Montana" and the film "The Last Song."

In 2014, she formed the nonprofit organization Happy Hippie Foundation aimed to support youth suffering from homelessness and other vulnerable populations.

The film awards will take place on Jan. 3, 2026 at the Convention Center, at 277 N. Avenida Caballeros, with the accompanying festival running through Jan. 2-12.
