Coachella Valley's LGBTQ-Owned Restaurants Eligible To Apply For Grant
The application period opened Wednesday for the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce Community Impact Grant Program.
COACHELLA VALLEY, CA — For a second year, Coachella Valley LGBTQ+-owned and ally-owned restaurants, cafes, and bars serving food can once again apply for grant money made possible by an ongoing partnership formed by the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Grubhub, and the Desert Business Association, which serves as the Coachella Valley’s LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce.
The application period opened Wednesday for the NGLCC Community Impact Grant Program, made possible by a grant from the Grubhub Community Fund.
The grants are expected to range from $10,000 to $25,000, and funds can be used for things like updating/purchasing new equipment, marketing and PR services, employee development, and updating of current infrastructure, according to a news release from the Desert Business Association.

“Last year’s program provided over $80,000 in grants to local businesses to help them emerge from the pandemic,” said DBA Executive Director David Powell. “With an even broader scope of opportunities for grant use this year, our goal is to at least double that amount.”
Coachella Valley and Riverside County-based restaurants, cafes, and bars that serve food, and are owned by LGBTQ+ or Allied persons, are encouraged to submit a grant application. The application period closes April 5.
