Coachella's First Weekend Sells Out: Post Malone, Lady Gaga, Green Day
Though Coachella 2025 kicks off on April 11, passes for the festival's first weekend have sold out online. What to know about the show.

INDIO, CA — The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival returns over two weekends at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.
From April 11 through 13 and again the following weekend, from April 18 through 20, guests will flock to the fairgrounds to see concerts from the obscure to the standouts. General Admission passes have sold out, however there are some VIP experiences still available as of Thursday, according to the www.Coachella.com website.

In 2025, concertgoers spent hundreds or thousands on tickets and hotels to see Post Malone, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Megan Thee Stallion, Zedd, Missy Elliott, Benson Boone, GloRilla, Prodigy, Lisa, and more.
A few acts typically fall off the concert list, and 2025 is no different. Third-time Coachella performer Anitta fell from the April 12 and 19 list for "unexpected personal reasons."
According to SFGate, the hardcore rock band Gel also canceled its performance. In March, the band broke up due to some irreconcilable differences.
It remains to be speculated who will take their place, but Coachella usually has some tricks up its collective sleeve.
Coachella Road Closures, What To Know:
Coachella-caused road closures have begun in the desert in preparation for the upcoming Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals.
A portion of Avenue 50 in Indio was shut down Monday for six weeks. The closure between Madison and Monroe streets is expected to last through May 4.
A similar stretch of the same road was restricted around this time in previous years to allow infrastructure to be set up and taken down for the Coachella Valley Music & Arts and Stagecoach festivals.
Additional road closures and access routes in the city of Indio are expected to be announced soon.
Hotels, Spas of Note:
Hotels are preparing for the masses to descend, with a few offering some added specials. From Indio's Fantasy Springs Resort Casino to Morongo Resort Casino, there's a place for everyone to stay.
