Drugged Driver Caused Palm Desert Tree Crash: Police
The incident was reported around 11:21 a.m. Friday.

PALM DESERT, CA -- A suspected drugged driver was arrested Friday in Palm Desert after he allegedly crashed into another car. Police said Joshua Sarvis, 41, of Palm Desert, was driving on Hovley Lane, east of El Dorado Drive when he collided with a car that then crashed into a tree.
The incident, which was reported around 11:21 a.m. Friday, caused major injury to Sarvis, who was transported to a local hospital, police said. The other driver was not injured.
An investigation revealed Sarvis was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. Sarvis was admitted at the hospital due to his injuries. Charges will be filed against Sarvis for driving while under the influence of drugs, police said.
