DUI Suspect Arrested After Coachella Valley Crash
The crash was reported around 4:24 p.m. Saturday.
RANCHO MIRAGE, CA -- A man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence following a crash Saturday in Coachella Valley. The crash was reported around 4:24 p.m. in the 71300 block of Dinah Shore Drive in Rancho Mirage.
Police said the driver, John Simon, 61, of Illinois, reversed his car and collided into an unoccupied parked car at the location.
An investigation determined Simon showed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Simon was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol, and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution. Once treated, he was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
No one was injured in the crash.
