Emergency Repairs Scheduled Friday On Bob Hope Drive I-10 Off-Ramp

The off-ramp is expected to be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA — The California Department of Transportation will begin a $6 million emergency project Friday for storm damage repairs, which will require the closure of the eastbound Bob Hope Drive off-ramp on Interstate 10.

The off-ramp is expected to be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. as crews work to construct and replace the dike as California Highway Patrol officers assist with traffic control and safety, according to a statement from the California Department of Transportation.

"The new dike will better address and decrease potential flooding of the highway during inclement weather," officials wrote in a statement.
