Explore a Career as a Physical Therapy Aide at College of the Desert
College of the Desert's (COD) Partnership and Community Education (PaCE) program is offering courses that will run from May 15 to June 30.
From CODPace: Explore a possible career as a physical therapy aide at College of the Desert’s (COD) Partnership and Community Education (PaCE) program.
Learn the non-technical duties of a physical therapy aide such as preparing treatment areas and ordering devices and supplies; transporting patients working under the direction of the physical therapist; and assist physical therapists in providing services that help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease.
The registration fee is $1,099 for 50 hours of classroom training from March 21 to May 9. Sessions are held from 6 to 9:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays at the College of the Desert PaCE Center. Required are 40 hours of externship, which runs from May 15 to June 30. Scrubs are required but not included.
This career training course is Workforce Innovative and Opportunity Act Approved (WIOA).
