Explosive Devices Found At Desert Home: RSO

BLYTHE, CA — A Blythe man remained jailed Tuesday following an arrest on suspicion of possessing explosive devices.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department's Colorado River station, assisted by the county Probation Department, were conducting a compliance check Monday at a residence in the 17000 block of Blythe Way.

During the check, two explosive devices were found in the home, the sheriff's department said.

The sheriff's Hazardous Device Team was called to the location. The devices were rendered safe, then collected and disposed of, the sheriff's department reported.

Perez was arrested and booked into county jail in Blythe. He is expected to be charged with two felony counts of possession of an explosive device, a felony count of violating probation and a misdemeanor count for possession of narcotics during an arraignment Thursday at the Blythe Courthouse, according to county inmate records.
