INDIO, CA — A fire broke out Sunday at a metal recycling facility, spewing a trail of black smoke into the air in Indio.
The fire was reported at 11:05 a.m. in the 84000 block of Cabazon Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The blaze consumed a debris pile that measured about a half-acre in size, and included recycled vehicles, fire officials said.
