Firefighters Battle Two Residential Fires In Coachella Valley
Sunday and Monday, Cal Fire/Riverside County Firefighters battled these blazes in Mecca and Thousand Palms.

COACHELLA VALLEY, CA — Firefighters put out a fire in a single-family home in Thousand Palms Monday.
Crews responded about 6 a.m. Monday to the 32000 block of Saucon Valley Street to a report of a residential structure fire, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Fire officials said there was heavy smoke and flames in the residence. It was contained by 6:40 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.

Another fire ripped through a Mecca home Sunday, according to the department.
That fire was reported around 3:20 p.m. Sunday at a mobile home in the 67000 block of Highway 111, according to the department.
Firefighters were expected to remain on scene for approximately four hours.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
