Firefighters Douse Electrical Room Fire In Indio Building

INDIO, CA — Firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department contained a fire in an electrical room in Indio Saturday.

The fire was reported around 4:15 p.m. Saturday in the 44000 block of Jackson Street, where firefighters found an electrical room within a large building on fire, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The fire was put out at 4:30 p.m. before it could spread beyond that room.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

The building will be evaluated by the Imperial Irrigation District and Indio Building and Safety, fire officials said.
