Free Coronavirus Testing Offered Through Wednesday In RivCo

Testing will be provided by appointment at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Riverside County this week is offering free coronavirus testing to both symptomatic and asymptomatic people from Monday through Wednesday.

In a news release, the county said the testing effort comes as coronavirus cases in the county have risen, threatening to put the county back into California’s purple tier.

Testing is offered by appointment, which can be scheduled by visiting the county’s coronavirus website.

Testing is offered from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the Palm Springs Convention Center at 277 N. Avenida Caballeros.

The county said its testing website lists a site in Indio that should be ignored during registration.
