Get Married In Palm Desert On Valentine's Day With A Civil Ceremony

Wanna say "I do" this coming Valentine's Day? Riverside County couples can do so at any one of four Assessor-Clerk-Recorder offices.

PALM DESERT, CA — Palm Desert residents who are ready to tie the knot can pull the nuptial trigger this Valentine's Day at the local Assessor-Clerk-Recorder office, county officials said Friday.

Riverside County couples are welcomed to consider a civil ceremony on Feb. 14, which is conducted by certified wedding commissioners from the clerk's office.

"Valentine's Day is one of the most popular days of the year for couples to get married," Assessor-Clerk-Recorder Peter Aldana said. "We're here to make the process seamless, and we encourage couples to plan ahead and secure their spot for this meaningful day."

Walk-in appointments for marriages will be accepted on Feb. 14, but wait times could be longer, depending on the demand for each office, and appointments are strongly recommended.

Here are the offices county residents can choose from, hours of operation and contact numbers to make an appointment:

"Each office offers a welcoming and festive environment to celebrate your special day," according to the county.

Fees for a public marriage license are $100, while a confidential marriage license is $110. Civil ceremonies cost $85. Couples are required to bring valid, government-issued photo identification and if divorced in the last 90 days, final dissolution documents must be on hand.
