Hot Summer Specials and Chill Happy Hours on El Paseo

August is a great time to save at El Paseo.

PALM DESERT, CA – Residents and visitors alike will find abundant summertime specials in August on El Paseo, with offers not to be found in-season. Many of the restaurants offer daily Happy Hours, specialty summer menu items, and live music. Summer sales are now the hot ticket at many of the retail shops, and while the entire month of August features deals and steals, there are a few notable dates to take advantage of; National Girlfriends Day on August 1, National Sisters Day on August 7, and National Beer Day on August 5.
While summer dining specials are available at the majority of restaurants, a few of the notable Happy Hour hot spots include:

  • Ristorante Mama Gina – An all-day happy hour! A variety of drinks for as low as $5.50, along with delectable Italian soups, fresh salads, all types of pasta dishes, and unique appetizers, like fried zucchini sticks or prosciutto and melon.
  • Tommy Bahama’s Restaurant & Bar – Discounted drinks during Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m. are as low as $6 for signature cocktails, including a refreshing house margarita, classic Mai Tai, Pineapple Paradise Martini, and Grapefruit Basil Martini; as well as select wines, from 3 to 6 p.m. daily.
  • WP Kitchen + Bar on El Paseo – The new menu introduced this summer embraces new tastes and flavors such as truffle potato chips with blue cheese fondue to start, or an entrée of grilled flat iron “steak frites” with garlic herb butter. To top off the meal, their updated dessert menu offers a vanilla crème brûlée with market berries, a salted caramel pudding, and much more. Happy Hour is from 3 to 6 p.m. daily with $5 Stella Artois and the Summer Sangria, $6 house red and white wines, and $7 specialty cocktails, like a Moscow Mule, Raspberry Lemon Drop or Mojito.
  • California Pizza Kitchen – Happy Hour on Monday through Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. and later from 8:30 p.m. to close includes half off of any pizza and any beer.
  • Sullivan’s Steakhouse – On Thursdays and Sundays is “Swingin’ at Sullivan’s,” with a 3 p.m. kick-off for Happy Hour at the bar, and includes live music starting at 6:30 p.m. There are $7 signature martinis, select wines, and bar entrees such as the popular Steak Flatbread, Ahi Tuna Nachos or Cheesesteak Eggrolls. The daily happy hour includes the same discounted prices, from 3 to 6 p.m. all week.
  • Pacifica Seafood – Enjoy the Mussel Madness Happy Hour menu on Thursdays at Pacifica from 3 to 6:30 p.m. For $6 choose 8 items from either steamed clams, coconut shrimp, Sugar-Spiced Salmon skewers or steak skewers. The drink menu includes over 100 vodkas from 23 countries for just $8, $1 off all other cocktails, $3.50 Coors Light or Bud Light, and $5 house red and white wines.
  • Daily Grill – The Monday Night Beverage Special is available all night and includes $2 off any Carafe. The Happy Hour is Monday 3 to 6 p.m. for food and 3 to 9 p.m. for drinks, Tuesday through Saturday 3 to 6 p.m., and Sunday 3 to 9 p.m. The daily Happy Hour menu includes $5 handles and well drinks and $6 cocktails, as well as select wines. The new summer menu is available at 4 p.m. for dine-in only, including Surf & Turf Tacos, Ancho Rubbed Skirt Steak & Blackened for $10.95 on Mondays, Blackberry Pork Chop for $12.00 on Tuesdays, half off all bottles and glasses of wine on Wednesdays, All-You-Can-Eat Ribs for $19.75 on Thursdays, Roasted Salmon with Blue Crab for $19.75 on Fridays, and 12-oz cut Prime Rib for $26.95 on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza & Grill – Experience Mix-it-up Monday, which offers half off all cocktails, beer and wine all day, Takeout Tuesday which offers 20% off all takeout orders, and Wine Wednesday which offers half off bottles of wine all day.
  • Piero's PizzaVino – The Happy Hour drink and food menu starts at 11:30 a.m. and goes until 10 p.m. Enjoy beer for as low as $3.50, house wine for $5, margaritas for $7, and cocktails for as low as $5.50. The food menu during happy hour ranges from appetizers and salads to pizza and pasta dishes for under $10.

While referred to as “the Rodeo Drive of the Desert,” El paseo offers luxury brand shops and specialty stores along with retail favorites, and now is the time to seek out those special offers available only in the summer.   • L’Occitane – Celebrate the soft reopening of L’Occitane on August 20th by receiving a free hydrating facial and hand treatments.
  • Cactus Flower Shoe Salon – Enjoy $10 off any regularly priced items every Tuesday during Senior Citizens Day (68 and over).
  • Hohmann Fine Art – The gallery will be closed for the month of August, but will be opening back up in September, kicking off the 40th year celebration throughout the rest of the year.
  • Lotus Garden Center – The new summer hours are Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 noon, and closed Sunday and Monday. The shop is closed for all of the month of August.
  • St. John Boutique – Receive an exclusive St. John Scarf (a value of $395) with a regularly priced purchase of $1,500 or more from August 25 to August 28.
  • Sherry Mesa The Salon – Enjoy 10% off of all salon hair care products on Tuesdays through Saturdays between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Also receive a free costume jewelry with each purchase all of the time. Stop by to check out the new and exciting changes going on in the salon, including the remodeling of stylists’ stations to add ease and comfort to clients and stylists alike.
